2014 Asia Bike Show Opens in Nanjing on Oct. 9

As the sister show of Eurobike and the first professional trade show on sports bike market in China, Asia Bike focuses on sports bikes, luxury bikes, urban bikes, cycling apparels and bike accessories. It brings industry people together where information is shared, business is done, and cycling culture is promoted.

On Demo Day of Oct 8, prelude of Asia Bike, we saw 33 brands of bikes, 10 of cycling equipment and 8 of bike parts. They brought their latest products, bikes to be launched on the market in 2015, funky cycling clothes and equipment for trade visitors, cyclists and media journalists to test. Participants were entranced by the beautiful scenery of Purple Mountain and the cool new bikes.

Following Eurobike in Germany, Taipei Cycle in Taiwan and Interbike show in USA, as an annual gathering in bicycle industry, Asia Bike has been strived to be more professional, more innovative and more advanced. With the rising demands of green travel, environmental protection and high-tech, the pair of seemingly contradictory terms have realized perfect combination in bicycle industry. As a special stage for high-end and luxury bikes---Show in Show displayed nearly 50 global high-end and innovative road bikes, MTBs, folding bikes and pedal assisted electric bike. Among them, pedal assisted electric bike are still one of the highlights. Haibike shows its Xduro Nduro Pro 26 whose market price is up to more than RMB110,000. The high technology of Contrail C 6.0 from Bergamont and Turbo X pedelecs from Specialized are equally exciting to the visitors. In addition, TREK Emonda SLR 10 with only 680g for its frame and 6.45kg for complete bike, will also be on display in Show in Show. BMC fourstroke FS01 29 is a high-potential multi-use mountain bike, light enough to deal with cross-country cycling, and is also a high-speed trail MTB with large wheels, APS suspension system and BWC geometric design. Similarly, LOOK will display its L96 TT which is the bike special for China National Track Cycling Team, and the ultimate sports bike KIMERA ROAD PREMIUM created by KOGA for professional racers will also appear on the exhibition.  

Another feature of this Asia Bike found is the crossover cooperation between bicycle and other industries. For example, the integration of car and bike produces the more and more popular “4+2” lifestyle nowadays. Folding bike DAHON and auto giant FORD make crossover cooperation and will display a series of new products with Ford logo like folding bikes, recreational bikes, MTBs and children bikes. Dogma F8, a 2015 new top road bike jointly launched by Pinarello and Jaguar, with best streamline and improved frame design to achieve aerodynamic efficiency, comes into view at Asia Bike 2014. Scott works with Infiniti-Red Bull Team to release Foil team edition IRBR, and will display its F1 related products like helmets and goggles. THULE will exhibit its full ranges of products including bike suitcases and bike carriers to advocate a new leisure lifestyle with health, sport, fashion and personality. 

Asia Bike Industry Forum Sparkling with Informative Topics

As the sister show of Eurobike, Asia Bike should naturally play the role as an important bridge between the bike industry in Asia and the one in the leading areas of the world. We would rather take Asia Bike as a platform to promote the bike industry development of Asia than just make it a bicycle exhibition. Seen from this point, holding forums on Asia bike industry is of huge significance. From Oct 9 to 11, Asia Bike Industry Forum welcomes guests on different topics from brands like Ghost, NORCO, Specialized, TERN and TREK, professional media such as BIKETO, Sina Outdoor and 700bike, Internet companies like Jiubang Digital and Ctrip, bike distributors and famous riders. They will make face-to-face communications with the visitors on topics like the development of bike market in the Internet times and China’s bike shop business practice in the future, to explore the current situation and future trends of China’s bike market.

Supporting Programs with New Highlights

As the platform for bike industry of Asia, we are keenly aware of the importance of cycling culture. Therefore, a series of supporting programs are organized at Asia Bike. Firstly, “Bike Travelling Village”, newly added this year, displays long-distance bikes and cycling gear, and some riding celebrities are also invited to share their riding experience and story. Secondly, “Children Safe Riding Program” is set up to help children improve their awareness of safe riding through funny games, thus an interesting race will be organized for children in Hall C of Asia Bike 2014 on Oct 11 and 12. The prizes are helmets sponsored by MOON and RANKING. Thirdly, Banff Mountain Film Festival, known as “Oscar of Outdoor”, will be on the stage of Asia Bike in Nanjing on Oct. 11 and 12. Films about cycling, flying, slackline, climbing, skiing, kayaking, cross-country running and long board will be shown. Additionally, visitors can appreciate the dynamic Fashion Show and stunning “fixed gear” show at the fairground, and welcome to the outdoor Test Center and UPLAND park for a try!
