Believer many of you have noted that your electric scooter goes not as far as when you buy it.
The main reason is the low temperature effect the battery performance in winter, while most people buy scooter during spring or summer.
Now wellsmove will demonstrate you the following points that effect battery.
Battery cannot be fully charged. Because of low temperature, the material inside battery is not as active as when it is at normal temperature which lead it only can be about 80% charged and the charger will stop charging.
Battery cannot be fully discharged during riding. For example, normally battery can be discharged from 100% to 20%, but in winter it can only from 80%-30%.
To make a sumary, it is not battery problem that in winter your scooter cannot go far. When spring comes, the battery will recovery to its original performance.
Tips:
charge your battery inside door at a indoor temperature. (to be sure you are watching it, do not leave it along charging and you hang out with friends)
Have it full charged each before you put it away.
do not speed up and take brakes regularly during riding, try to keep an average speed riding. this will be good for battery and can go longer ditance for each charge.
